Motorcyclist dies in Tsing Yi traffic accident
A 53-year-old motorcyclist died in a traffic accident in Tsing Yi on Thursday.
The man was heading along Container Port Road just before midnight, when he hit a stationary mobile crane truck parked on the slow lane of the road near the Customs and Excise Department Vehicle Detention Centre.
He sustained serious head injury and was stuck in between his motorcycle and the truck.
He was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital unconscious and was certified dead shortly afterwards at 12.38am on Friday.
Police are appealing for witnesses to call 3661 1346 to provide information to investigators.
