More than 100 people hop on special "autumn leaves” bus
MTR Corp has launched a special bus route to Tai Tong woods as a small number of sweet gum trees start to redden there.
Tai Tong Sweet Gum Woods in Tai Lam Country Park, Yuen Long is regarded as Hong Kong's best spot to check out autumn leaves.
After hikers spotted a few leaves that started to redden last week, MTR Corp launched special bus route K66S from Long Ping MTR station to Tai Tong. The first bus departed at 11am on Sunday, carrying over 100 passengers.
The bus will run every Sunday till November 28.
The trip costs HK$4.8 for adults, HK$2.1 for children or students, and HK$2 for the elderly or disabled.
When more leaves redden, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department will offer updates in a “Red Leaves Express of Sweet Gum Woods of Tai Lam Country Park” on its website.
