A mobile specimen collection station will be set up at Grand Promenade carpark L1 in Sai Wan Ho on Monday to provide free testing service for residents and workers who are subject to compulsory testing.
Residents of Tower 1, Grand Promenade in Sai Wan Ho are subject to mandatory testing since a 55-year-old male staff member of the Russian Consulate General was confirmed with
Covid-19 on Saturday.
He left Hong Kong on August 22 for Russia, and returned October 5 on flight AY101 via Finland from Russia.
He underwent self-isolation at home under exemption arrangements for consulate staff. The sample he submitted on October 14, during the isolation period, tested preliminary positive with the L452R variant.
According to the patient, he stayed at home after he arrived in Hong Kong.
As of 6pm Sunday, there were around 30,000 booking places available for tomorrow at the community testing centers, and around 92 percent and around 95 percent availability for the coming seven days and 14 days respectively.
There will be a total of 27 community testing centers and mobile specimen collection stations in Hong Kong on Monday to provide free services for people who need to undergo mandatory testing.
