A woman caused a commotion in Wan Chai this morning as she climbed on top of a taxi, removed her clothing, and stopped a school bus before being apprehended by the police, who took her to the hospital.
At 7.36 am, a woman suddenly climbed onto the roof of a taxi heading toward Morrison Hill Road. She sat atop the cab and refused to get off, leaving the taxi driver no choice but to call the police for assistance.
Her actions became more outlandish as she took off her shirt and repeatedly tried to stop the moving vehicles passing by.
She stopped a school bus by standing in front of it while mumbling to herself and pounding on the windscreen in an attempt to vent whatever emotions she was feeling. She was then seen dancing afterward and trying to climb on top of another sedan.
According to a car cam footage timed at 7:41 am, she was seen picking a fight with another sedan driver who seemed to be about 40 years old, and her wild attempts at an attack caused the man's mask to be ripped off.
The police arrived and found the woman, surnamed Hung, lying near a bus stop, emotionally unstable as she see-sawed from crying hysterically to mumbling nonsense.
The rescue workers gave her some clothes and a towel, taking her to a nearby hospital for medical care.
The police have labeled this incident as "insane person found," and it was learned that she has had a prior record of psychological disorders.
