Maskless bus vandal who shatters door with rocks arrested
A 65-year-old woman was arrested Friday morning for she shattered a bus door by throwing rocks at it, after she was rejected from boarding the bus because she was not wearing a mask.
The incident occurred around 7am Wednesday in Tseung Kwan O when the woman surnamed Shek attempted to get onboard the route 694 double decker.
Yet, Shek was denied access by the 35-year-old driver surnamed Yim as she was not wearing a mask at the time.
She chase down the bus until it reached a stoplight opposite Po Tsui Park, and shattered one of the doors by throwing rocks she picked up on the road at it.
Shek then slowly walked away, while Yim left his driver seat and filed a police report.
A video capturing Shek's actions was soon uploaded onto social media platforms.
After investigations, Tseung Kwan O police arrested Shek about 8.50am Friday for criminal damage. She has been released on bail and must report to police in early February.
It is understood that Shek lives in a Lam Tin housing estate and is a cashier.
