Married man, 71, jailed 2.5 years for sodomizing 15-year-old boy
A married 71-year-old man was on Wednesday jailed for two-and-a-half years for he lured a 15-year-old boy with mild intellectual disability into committing buggery with him last March.
Wong Ching-sheung, a father to four daughters, earlier pleaded guilty to homosexual buggery with man under 16, indecent conduct towards child under 16 and indecent conduct with child under 16.
When passing the sentence, Deputy District Judge Merinda Chow Yin-chu blasted Wong for behaving like a “pervert” as she noted Wong targeted and bought sexual services from young boys like the victim “X.”
Wong was old enough to be X’s grandfather, Chow added.
Chow also pointed out that Wong must have realized X suffered from mild intellectual disability, and Wong not using protection during his crimes was a factor that called for a heavier sentence.
The judge referred to a psychiatrist’s testimony that X feared Wong or his wife would revenge or kill him. She believed Wong’s sexual orientation was tipped towards young boys, citing an expert report that said Wong had pedophile.
The report also recorded Wong saying that he suspected he had erectile dysfunction and wished to test his sexual ability through committing buggery.
Chow then put Wong behind bars for 30 months, saying the court must send a clear message to the society that young children are under protection.
The District Court heard that on March 16 last year, X was invited to Wong’s home in Tuen Mun. X took off all his clothes as instructed by Wong, and they masturbated for each other.
Wong then asked X to perform buggery on him but X rejected. Wong late performed buggery on X without using protection, and paid X HK$300 before he left.
On March 4, Wong made X performed buggery and oral sex on him. When X was about to leave, Wong paid X HK$100 and gave him a coke.
The incident was revealed on April 6 as X spoke to a psychiatrist, and Wong was arrested three days later.
