Mark Six CNY snowball of HK$80m to be drawn tonight

Want to try your luck? How about Hong Kong Jockey Club's Mark Six Chinese New Year Snowball draw on Thursday night with a first prize fund of HK$80 million that could be won by a HK$10 unit!
The draw will be held at 9.30pm tonight and the tickets sale will stop at 9.15pm.

HKJC also offered two cents on which number to pick and said the numbers 2 and 12 have been drawn twice in the past three Year of the Rabbit CNY Snowball draw (1987, 1999, and 2011).

During lunch hour, the “luckiest” HKJC branch on Stanley Street saw citizens waiting in a long line that extended to the end of the street.

A woman surnamed Mui said she spent a few hundred dollars on the Mark Six tickets, both computer-generated tickets and hand-drawn tickets. She said she will be glad to win a prize but it is also fine that if she wins nothing.

Another woman surnamed Chan came to the betting station with her mom and said they picked numbers that ended with an eight for the symbolism of wealth. They bought four units altogether and said they would travel across the world, starting from Europe.

A man surnamed Lam said he bought two computer-generated tickets and said he had yet to plan his life after winning the first prize, which wasn't really likely to happen.

HKJC reminded citizens that if the prize for a HK$10 unit exceeds HK$5 million, all winning ticket holders or telephone betting winners (including entries placed via Electronic Shroff Card or 1886 Telebet Automated Services, etc) are required to register by calling the Club’s 1817 Hotline by 5pm on January 27 (Fri).
