Marc Jacobs Launches Y2K Capsule Collection with Devon Lee Carlson

Marc Jacobs Launches Y2K Capsule Collection with Devon Lee Carlson

The It Girl partners with Marc Jacobs on a new limited-edition collection to kick off her 27th birthday.

The Y2K revival continues its reign as the fashion trend of the moment in Marc Jacobs' new capsule collection with Devon Lee Carlson. In celebration of the model's 27th birthday, the brand teamed up with Carlson to create a selection of pieces that recognize the niche qualities and moments that make her her.

As a trendsetter, the L'OFFICIEL cover girl has been on the frontlines of reimagining a number of early-2000s styles for 2021. Looking back to that same era, Marc Jacobs was establishing itself as an indomitable force on the New York fashion scene. To pay homage to this epoch of halter tops and low-rise jeans, the collection plays with the brand's signature codes while in conversation with Carlson's own Y2K aesthetic.

The line of ready-to-wear pieces features cartoon images of the It Girl's dog Martin, graphic bubble text, bold shades of bubblegum pink and orange, and some of her own personal drawings. The campaign for the collection-which includes a guest appearance from Carlson's pup-was photographed by Conor Cunningham.

“Marc is a true fashion icon & inspiration to me," said Carlson. "All of the pieces in this collaboration were designed to be worn in any setting, at home with slippers or out on the town with your most fun heels. Getting to design this collaboration has been such an honor & a dream that I’m just waiting to wake up from!”

The Marc Jacobs x Devon Lee Carlson collection is available now in stores and online. See every look from the limited-edition collection below.
