Hong Kong police are searching for at least three assailants after a 33-year-old man was slashed in East Tsim Sha Tsui in the early hours of Friday.
Emergency personnel were called after the man was attacked as he walked past East Ocean Centre on Granville Road at around 1.50 am. The man suffered cut wounds to his limbs.
Sources said the victim has a triad background and is the head of a small gang active in the Tsim Sha Tsui district.
According to the police force, the victim was jumped by three men when he and a female friend were waiting for a taxi. The trio fled the scene by boarding a getaway vehicle after the attack.
The 33-year-old man Lo was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a conscious state for treatment.
The woman was uninjured in the attack. Officers from the Yau Tsim District criminal investigation unit are looking into the crime, and no arrests have been made so far.
