Man robbed of valuable Mickey Mouse figurine by four assailants in Tsuen Wan
A man was robbed of one Mickey Mouse figure toy worth HK$50,000 by four robbers in Tsuen Wan on Monday night.
Police received a report at around 10:30 pm last night that a male claiming to be the owner of a toy store was robbed during a face-to-face delivery at Hoi Shing Road.
According to the 31-year-old victim surnamed Wong, he received messages from a buyer online to purchase four limited edition Mickey Mouse toys yesterday and made an appointment to deliver the goods at night.
However, he came to the scene at the scheduled time only to be surrounded by four males, coming out from a taxi, who attempted to grab his four toys in his private car.
During the robbery, one of the four reached out for a hammer and hit Wong on his chest, who was screaming for help, threatening him not to move. The four then jumped into the taxi, trying to leave, but the taxi driver didn’t obey, then the robbers ran from the vehicle and left three toys at the scene.
The four Mickey Mouse toys are valued at HK$50,000 each, said Wong.
The case is under further investigation by police officers.
