The 37-year-old man surnamed Tong was found to have hanged himself by citizens who were exercising, and a police report was filed at around 5.18am.

Paramedics and firefighters soon came after receiving the report and untied the man from the rope attached to the gym rack.

He was unconscious when he was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital and later pronounced dead.

Police are currently investigating the cause of the incident.

It was understood that police found no suicide note at the scene.
