A man dual-wielding two knives on a busy Tsuen Wan street on Tuesday was arrested on Wednesday morning.
The 32-year-old man surnamed Chan was arrested in Kwai Chung for breach of the peace.
Police seized two plastic knives and the clothes he wore at that time.
Police received reports on Tuesday noon after alarmed citizens saw the suspect standing in front of a pedestrian crossing near the T.mark shopping mall. He held two curved knives when he waited for a traffic light to turn green.
Sources said it is not the first time that he pulled such a stunt. He has been spotted several times in Tsuen Wan with the knives.
A netizen said he spotted the man carrying two knives on Tai Ho Road on Monday afternoon. At that time, he was waiting to cross the road too.
Another said he saw him at Lo Tak Court in Tsuen Wan on Tuesday morning, with a knife in his left hand.
"He constantly wield the knife up and down, and even touched its blade once -- as if he is a martial arts master," the netizen said.
