M+ and HK Palace Museum implement special opening arrangements during Labour Day holidays
The M+ Museum and the Hong Kong Palace Museum will open to the public on May 1 and 2 (Mon and Tue) to welcome visitors during the Labour Day Golden Week period between April 29 and May 3.
The M+ museum closes every Monday, and the Palace Museum every Tuesday. Yet, the special museum opening arrangements will be implemented to welcome visitors to Hong Kong, the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority announced on Friday.
M+ and the Palace Museum will open from 10 am to 6 pm on May 1 and 2, respectively.
“In anticipation of more visitors coming to WKCD, including HKPM and M+ during the Labour Day Golden Week period, the Authority will maintain close contact with the travel trade,” the announcement read.
The Palace Museum and M+ have also jointly launched the Museums Package Ticket, which is available on Cityline online ticketing platform. The public can also access the relevant page on Cityline via the West Kowloon Cultural District website.
The package ticket allows visitors to enjoy discounted rates when purchasing regular-priced General Admission and/or Special Exhibition tickets for both museums in a single transaction.
The two museums have rolled out the Combo Membership Scheme as well.
Citizens can enjoy one additional month of validity (i.e., 13 months in total) for HK$1,200 under the M+ Member and HKPM Friends Combo Membership tier.
As for the M+ and HKPM Combo Patron Membership tier, citizens can enjoy a 10 percent discount as patrons of both museums for HK$54,000.
