The Legislative Council election saw 21 more candidates on Friday, including five who decided to run in the Election Committee sector.
A total of 28 candidates have submitted nomination to run in the Election Committee sector as of Friday night.
Three candidates filed nominations to run in New Territories North, while five others chose to run in Hong Kong Island East, Hong Kong Island West, Kowloon Central, New Territories South West and New Territories North East.
Eight others will run in the function constituencies, including insurance; transport; medical and health services; tourism; industrial (second); technology and innovation; and the deputies to the National People's Congress, members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and representatives of relevant national organizations.
So far 81 candidates have submitted nomination to stand in the LegCo election. The nomination period will run until next Friday (Nov 12).
