With Christmas fast approaching, Hongkong Post announced on Thursday that the latest posting date for local Christmas mail before Christmas Day is December 21 (Wed).
The postal service said mail posted after this date might run the risk of not being delivered in time because of anticipated seasonal work pressure. Members of the public are advised to post mail as early as possible in order to avoid a last-minute rush.
Meanwhile, to ensure that greetings sent by airmail are delivered before Christmas, the post office also reminded members of the public to post their mail earlier, with the latest dates of posting for this year's Christmas airmail displayed at all post offices.
