'Knife and ax' duo wanted by police after cutting man's pinky off
Police are now searching for two attackers armed with a knife and an ax after a man was found lying in a pool of blood in Tuen Mun on Tuesday night with his right pinky cut off and multiple injuries on his body.
The man was spotted by pedestrians at a park on Pui To Road, opposite Tuen Mun Town Plaza Phase 3. Paramedics soon responded to the scene and rushed the man to Tuen Mun Hospital.
Police also came and cordoned off the area to search for evidence. The ground was stained with blood, and a pair of slippers were left behind.
Officers also headed to 20 Yan Oi Tong Street to continue their investigation, where the man was initially attacked. It was understood that the man was being chased by the two attackers from Yan Oi Tong Street all the way to Pui To Road.
According to police, the victim was a 29-year-old man surnamed Chan. He sustained injuries to his head, back, hands, fingers, and feet.
The case has been listed as an assault and is now handled by the Tuen Mun district anti-triad unit.
