KMB to auction 77 old bus route signage for charity
Wanna own a piece of a bus stop? Bus operator KMB will auction 77 bus route signs which are more than 20 years old, with the funding raised to be allocated to its charity fund.
Most of the old signs were used in Shing Mun Tunnels Bus Interchange and Tai Po Industrial Estate Bus Terminus. They include 265S (Tin Shui Wai bound), 73 (Wah Ming bound), 868 (from Shatin Racecourse to Tuen Mun) and 47X (Kwai Shing East bound).
Words and numbers on the signs were printed or written manually, KMB said.
Their starting prices range from HK$450 to HK$2,500. Those interested can submit their bids on the online KMB Shop until December 20. KMB will contact winners within 14 working days from the auction period.
