Early cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) coupled with an AED is an effective way to rescue cardiac arrest patients, KMB noted.
The AEDs provided are for immediate use by the public and are installed in specific cabinets with eye-catching signages to ensure that staff and public members can quickly access the AED in emergencies. One can efficiently operate the device by following the built-in audio prompts.
“KMB also arranges AED training for corresponding staff to help them confidently operate the AED in emergencies. To ensure the safety of staff and public members, KMB will keep looking for suitable locations to place more AEDs,” a statement read.
