Jimmy Lai's assets, including shares in Next Digital, frozen
The Security Bureau announced Friday that national security police have frozen the assets of Jimmy Lai Chee-ying, including his shares in Next Digital (0282), three private companies, and all assets in local bank accounts.

According to Article 43 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Safeguarding National Security in Hong Kong, the Security Bureau gives notice to relevant persons and institutions that they shall not directly or indirectly deal with certain property that has been suspected to be related to crimes endangering national security
Lai is being sued for violating the National Security Law.
The founder of Next Digital has a 71.26 percent stake in Next Digital. It is estimated to be worth over HK$300 million.
