The Immigration Department confirmed today that the Director of Immigration, Au Ka-wang, tested positive for Covid through a rapid antigen test and is now under quarantine.
According to the department’s statement, Au went to work today (August 25) but had worn a mask, abided by the anti-epidemic measurements during his duty hours, and had no recent travel history.
The department said it has conducted thorough cleaning and disinfection at the relevant offices and arranged for relevant staff members to undergo
Covid tests in accordance with the advice from the Center for Health Protection of the Department of Health and reminded citizens to pay more attention to self-prevention methods to avoid contracting the virus.
