Illicit Kwai Chung refueling station shutdown

Fire Services Department officers, along with police officers have smashed an illicit refueling station in Kwai Chung on Friday morning.
The joint operation on Kwai Wo Street saw two individuals arrested and about 3,300 liters of suspected illicit motor spirit with an estimated market value of about HK$30,000 seized.

The duo, a man and a woman, suspected to be in connection with the case were arrested for violating the Fire Services (Fire Hazard Abatement) Regulation, Dangerous Goods Ordinance, and the Dangerous Goods Regulations.

The law enforcement officers also seized two lorries used to store the illicit motor spirit and a batch of oil refilling apparatus. Five illegally modified vehicles were also impounded during the operation.
