Vaccination centers received around ten thousand applications from workers of the tourism sector over the 2,000 temporary jobs offered by the government.
Application of officers and vice-officer closed last Saturday and that of registration workers closed at noon today. A total of 600 applications for officer and 898 applications for vice-officer were received.
Centers also received 8,875 applications for the registration workers, in which 8,677 were submitted online. Forms submitted through post are yet to be counted.
On average only one person out of six will get a job.
The recruitment process would be finished by April 21.
The government earlier created around 2,000 positions for tourism workers, where appointees would assist in administration and operations of vaccination centers within a 5-month period.
