Lau Ka-hin, the chief executive of Ruttonjee and Tang Shiu Kin Hospitals, and Tung Wah Eastern Hospital, is now undergoing isolation as he has tested positive for Covid-19.
Lau is best known by the public by his presence in government's daily
Covid-19 briefings. He was then a Hospital Authority chief manager for quality and standards.
According to the HA's spokesman, Lau last went to work on Tuesday (Dec 20). He wore masks and followed relevant anti-
Covid measures at work, including taking the daily rapid antigen test.
He has no recent travel history, the spokesman said.
“The hospital will conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection operation at the office concerned and will continue to implement disease prevention measures vigorously,” the spokesman also said.
Lau assumed office as the chief executive of the hospitals on December 1. He is also the head of Cheshire Home, Chung Hom Kok.
