Hongkongers welcome Clockenflap with unmasked smiley faces
Hong Kong welcomes the return of Clockenflap, the city's iconic outdoor music and arts festival which features international artists and participants with maskless faces on Friday in Central Harbourfront after four years.
The event has returned after the city lifted the mandatory mask-wearing orders, appealing to visitors worldwide.
"Hong Kong is our first priority and our dream place after three years of absence for a company trip," said Pat Law, a manager of a business group from Singapore. She added that around 90 employees have agreed to visit Hong Kong and participate in Clockenflap for their company trip.
"I love to see people's maskless smiles!" said Sarah, an Indonesian employee of the company, "you can always have your best time in Hong Kong no matter what - nightclubs, music, city views - you are hunting for."
However, small chaos was brought to the festival as the police arrested one woman and one man suspected of possessing drugs yesterday.
The woman was arrested at around 5 pm near Central Pier 10 with 0.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine seized. And the male was intercepted by the police at around 7.30 pm on the premise of the musical festival holding 1.5 grams of suspected cannabis.
Before that, two males were arrested on Friday, the first day of Clockenflap, for possessing dangerous drugs.
All the arrestees are under the police's investigation.
