Hong Kong tourist arrivals plunge 40% in August

The ongoing protests in Hong Kong have taken a rising toll on the city's tourism industry. August tourist arrivals plunged nearly 40% year-on-year. Finance Secretary Paul Chan said some hotels have seen occupancy rates drop to about half, while room rates have fallen between 40% and 70%.
