Hong Kong to hand out HK$5,000 consumption vouchers, distributed in two batches: source
Hong Kong residents will get their hands on another round of consumption vouchers worth HK5,000 in this year’s budget, with the vouchers to be distributed in two rounds, according to sources.
More details will be revealed at 11am on Wednesday as Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po delivers his budget speech at the Legislative Council.
It is understood that the SAR government will also raise taxes on football betting and cigarettes, with the move expected to bring in around HK$10 billion for the government in the next few years.
