Hong Kong sees 4.4m visitors in first quarter of 2023
Hong Kong recorded a provisional visitor arrival of 2.45 million in March, up 68 percent from February, according to the latest data released by the Hong Kong Tourism Board Friday.
The number of inbound travelers also adds up to 4.41 million in total for the first quarter of this year, which is about 30 percent of the average quarterly figure before the pandemic.
Most visitors came from mainland China and Southeast Asian markets, HKTB said.
From January to March, there were about 3.36 million mainland tourists.
HKTB added the line-up of international cruise arrivals in March also helped bring in long-haul international visitors.
