All of them carry the potentially more contagious L452R variant of the coronavirus.

The Centre for Health Protection said one of the patients, a 53-year-old man who returned from Germeny, had received two doses of BioNTech vaccine, in April and May, in Hong Kong.

He also tested positive for coronavirus antibodies on July 13 in Hong Kong.

Another patient, a 30-year-old woman from Russia, received two doses of the Sputnik V vaccine last month, in Moscow.

Both of them were asymptomatic.

A total of 45 cases have been reported in the past 14 days between August 6 to 19, including a local case with unknown sources and an import-related case, while the rest are imported cases.
