Hong Kong Introduces New Booking System for Sports and Recreation Facilities
Hong Kong is launching a new booking system called "SmartPLAY" to replace the current Leisure Link system for sports and recreation facilities.
Users must register with their real names and sign a declaration that they will not transfer the booked facilities.
The first phase of services will be available in October, and will include football pitches allocated through balloting and remaining sessions available on a first-come-first-served basis.
The department may request police assistance and charge scalpers with theft if they are found to be exploiting the system.
