More than 20 Hong Kong hotels are participating in the November program launched by Tourism Board, including Four Seasons Hotel, Mandarin Oriental, Harbour Grand, Regal Hongkong Hotel, Hyatt Regency and InterContinental Grand Stanford.
The Wine-cation packages, priced from HK$500 to about HK$4,000 plus service charges, provides festival goers with a wide range of experiences.
While staying in the hotel, people can join a “free flow frenzy” in which they can enjoy a two-hour free flow of red and white wines, or a three-hour free flow of red and white wines and cocktails with a complimentary snack. Some hotels will also offer a 6-course menu for two with wine pairing by a professional sommelier.
There are also “value-for-money” choices. One option allows people to pay as low as HK$573 plus 10 percent service charge for one night's stay for two, as well as a HK$424 afternoon tea set and sparkling wine.
Another good price option is HK$1,328 plus 10 percent service charge for a double room and a breakfast buffet and wine pairing seafood platter worth HK$1,200.
For people who are looking for more luxurious treats, they can spend HK$4,600 to enjoy a HK$4,400 worth tailor-made seasonal Omakase menu by a Japanese chef with sake pairing during their stay in an apartment.
Reservations are open until November 30, but the accommodation dates may fall in December. People can check the wine-cation offers on the event website: www.holidayhk.com/en-hk/staycation/
Bookings can be made on the official websites of the participating hotels.
