Hong Kong Cyber Fraud Surges in 2023 First Quarter, Police Arrest 153 Individuals
In the first three months of 2023, Hong Kong cyber fraud victims lost a total of HK$830 million, according to the latest figures released by the Hong Kong Police Force.
The figures showed a 59% increase in reports of technology-related crimes compared to the same period last year.
In response to the rising number of cybercrime cases, the police conducted a two-week operation resulting in the arrest of 153 individuals.
