Morning commuters in Hong Kong had an altercation with anti-government protesters blocking roads and aiming to disrupt traffic in what they dubbed "Operation Dawn" on Monday.
Protesters were seen putting barriers and bus stops on the road before a group of commuters confronted them, resulting in scuffles. Police eventually stepped in, arresting at least one protester and checking the IDs of others in the area.
MTR services were also disrupted, provoking anger among travellers.
