A Hong Kong Airlines plane had to return to Hong Kong midway following a bomb hoax – the second bomb hoax in two days.
The flight HX246 departed for Shanghai at around 1pm. After about an hour, a person made a comment on Airport Authority's website, saying a bomb was on the plane.
The airplane had to return to Hong Kong and landed at 4pm.
Passengers disembarked orderly, taking shuttle buses back to the terminal.>
On September 11, a person had left another message on the Airport Authority website, saying there was a bomb on CX390.
Passengers had to be evacuated on emergency slides when the plane landed in Beijing.
It was understood that when police received a report about the bomb threat, the plane already left Hong Kong.
