HK star Chow Yun-fat scowls in photo with overeager fan
Hong Kong superstar Chow Yun-fat, who is known to be friendly to fans, showed a rare long face when he was photobombed by the same man seven times.
Chow, 66, is a hiking enthusiast who hardly says no to photos with fans who run into him. But in a recent photo uploaded to social media, he had a frown on his face.
The fan said he was eating at a cooked food market at Tai Po Hui Market on Tuesday when he noticed Chow.
He then seized the chance for a selfie, and in the picture Chow appeared to be impatient.
He said he took too many pictures together with Chow that the actor remembered his face.
"He said to me 'You again? It was you always posting my pictures online'. He still agreed to take the photo," the man wrote.
Netizens did not applaud his enthusiasm, however. They criticized him for repeatedly bothering Chow, and some even called his action harassment.
The man then clarified that Chow was in fact friendly but wanted to take the picture with a “different expression”. He was not unhappy about the encounter, he said.
Regardless of his explanation, netizens did not stop lamenting him for disturbing the private life of the film artist. The man ended up promising he will not disturb Chow anymore in the future.
