HK sees three imported cases, including one transit passenger
Hong Kong health authorities reported three imported cases on Sunday, including a transit passenger from Qatar.
The patients comprise three men, aged 37 to 80. All of them arrived in Hong Kong from medium-risk countries, and two tested positive of mutant strains.
A 38-year-old man who arrived from Qatar via flight QR818 on November 24 was tested positive during his wait for transit at the restricted area in the airport. His test result for mutant strains is pending.
Another 80-year-old man arrived from Canada via flight CX829 on November 24 was tested positive for the L452R variant during quarantine at Metropark Hotel Kowloon in Ho Man Tin.
The remaining case was a 37-year-old man who arrived from Nigeria by flight ET608 via Ethiopia on November 24. He was tested positive for the N501Y variant during quarantine at Ramada Hong Kong Grand View in North Point.
