Health authorities reported seven imported cases on Saturday and reminded residents at Block H2 of Graceful Mansion at Siena Two in Discovery Bay to undergo compulsory testing by Sunday.
The patients involved an 11-month-old baby boy, a two-year-old baby girl, four women and a man aged from 37 to 62. Apart from the two babies, the five other patients had received two doses of
vaccine.
The baby boy arrived in Hong Kong on Wednesday from the US via Canada on flight AC007 and underwent quarantine at Four Points By Sheraton Hong Kong in Tung Chung.
The baby girl on the other hand arrived on October 25 from Pakistan via United Arab Emirates on flight EK384. She developed symptoms on October 31.
Two foreign domestic helpers aged 37 and 42 arrived in Hong Kong on Thursday from the Philippines on flight 5J272. The 42-year-old woman developed symptoms on the same day.
Two women aged 44 and 41 arrived on Tuesday from Nepal on flight RA409. The former underwent quarantine at Metropark Hotel Kowloon in Ho Man Tin while the latter at Ramada Hong Kong Grand in Tsim Sha Tsui.
The last patient is a 62-year-old man. He arrived on Tuesday from the UK on flight BA027 and underwent quarantine at Four Points By Sheraton Hong Kong in Tung Chung.
Five of the patients including the baby boy were found carrying the L452R mutant strain.
The Centre for Health Protection on another note reminded residents at Block H2 of Graceful Mansion at Siena Two in Discovery Bay as well as people who had been to there to undergo compulsory testing by tomorrow (Sunday).
A total of 47 cases have been reported in the past 14 days and all of them are imported cases.
