Hong Kong’s Secretary for Health Lo Chung-mau attended the 76th World Health Assembly of the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, on Monday.
Lo attended the assembly alongside the Director of Health Ronald Lam Man-kin, as members of the Chinese delegation.
The theme of this year's Assembly is "WHO at 75: Saving lives, driving health for all" and will discuss various issues, including the review of WHO's work in health emergencies, universal health coverage, and infection prevention and control.
The health chief and health director also met with the Minister for Health of Singapore, Ong Ye Kung, to share their experience of fighting
Covid-19 and exchange views on various health-related issues, including primary healthcare and medical manpower.
Lo and Lam will continue to attend the assembly tomorrow.
