A Hong Kong man was arrested in Macau on suspicion of being involved in a murder of a female resident in a hotel room.
The arrest came after Macau police received a report at around 10.50 am yesterday that a woman's body was found in the Pension Florida Hotel with multiple "unusual injuries" to her head.
The 46-year-old victim was a Macau resident. She is believed to have been dead for more than a day.
Police classified the case as murder and seized multiple belongings of the deceased, as well as pillows and sheets from the hotel for further investigation.
A Hong Kong man was detained yesterday night for the police inquiry suspected of being related to the murder.
Officers brought him back to the hotel at 4pm today to assist in a forensic crime scene reconstruction and to the nearby Rua de Manuel de Arriaga for investigation, where he is suspected of having disposed of a mobile phone and a suitcase.
