Police have helicopter help ub hunting down a suspect behind a series of burglaries in Clear Water Bay.
At around 4pm Tuesday, a suspicious man fled once he spotted the police in Ha Yeung, Clear Water Bay. In his vicinity, officers found valuables lost in recent burglaries.
Police from Tseung Kwan O district, East Kowloon police tactical unit and East Kowloon emergency unit, marine cop and government flying service are now searching for the suspect, who is aged 40 to 50, is 1.7 meters tall and has a medium build.
He wore a hat, a blue checkered shirt and dark pants at the time of the burglary, and had a two-feet knife with him. Citizens who spot him are urged to call the police at 6277 4500.
Two burglaries happened in Clear Water Bay from Tuesday to Thursday last week, in which two residents in Pik Uk Village lost HK$1,000 and HK$2,500 respectively.
The criminal involved is believed to be the culprit behind more burglaries six months ago.
Police started high profile patrols in Hung Uk Tsuen and surrounding areas from Thursday last week.
