The report was filed to the police at about 2 pm this afternoon when the temperature reached up to 32 degrees Celsius in Pak Tam Chung, Sai Kung.
When hiking with a friend, the man suffered heat stroke as his body temperature rose and he became dehydrated.
A helicopter was soon dispatched to the rescue by the Government Flying Service.
After examination and primary treatment by paramedics, the man needed not to be sent to the hospital. He and his friend were then flown to the headquarters of the Government Flying Service.
