Govt joint task force removes 2.5 tons of waste in Tsuen Wan cleanup drive
A government joint task force has in the past two days started a series of stringent enforcement actions in Tsuen Wan to tackle illegal shop extension and obstruction of public places, removing some 2.5 tons of waste in the process.
A government spokesman said the joint enforcement operation in the vicinity of Lo Tak Court and Lik Sang Plaza has seen three fixed penalty notices and four warning notices issued against shops causing obstructions and cleanliness offenses in public places.
The joint task force removed about 2.5 tons of waste involved, the spokesman added.
Meanwhile, police officers also carried out enforcement actions against illegal parking during the joint operation, issuing a total of 31 fixed penalty tickets.
The spokesman said authorities will continue to closely monitor and take stringent enforcement actions to tackle the problems of illegal shop extension and obstruction of public places.
