Police claimed to have busted a gang of motorcycle thieves with the arrest of its four members at a warehouse in Tsat Sing Kong, Yuen Long on Saturday.
Acting upon intelligence, police officers rounded up the four suspects, aged 39 to 60, and seized four motorcycles that were reported stolen in different districts in Hong Kong between March 2020 and November this year.
Officers also found two forklift trucks and four mobile platform lifts at the scene, which the force believed were stolen property.
A police spokesman said tools for car theft and weapons including axes, swords, knives, water pipes, wooden rods, and seven airsoft guns were later found inside the warehouse and in the vicinity of it.
The spokesman added that the arrestees were suspected to have triad backgrounds, and they do not rule out further arrests as the investigation is still underway.
