Free tram rides for Hongkongers this Sunday to celebrate International Day of Families
The Family Council of the government will launch a free tram ride day this Sunday (May 14) to celebrate the International Day of Families.
Hongkongers are invited to enjoy free rides on all tram routes that day to explore Hong Kong Island and have fun with their family.
Three trams will also be themed with "The But's Family", the Family Council's cartoon characters, to join the services during the free ride day to give citizens a chance to take lovely photos.
The United Nations proclaimed May 15 of every year as the International Day of Families to promote awareness of issues relating to families in the international community.
Since its establishment in 2007, the Family Council has served as a cross-sector and cross-bureau platform for advising the government on family-related policies and promoting a culture of loving families as well as the family core values of "Love and Care," "Respect and Responsibility" and "Communication and Harmony" in the community.
