Free tickets for Wan Chai Gourmet Marketplace snapped up in a day
The free admission tickets distributed at the Home Affairs Enquiry Centres across 18 districts for the first "Happy Hong Kong" Gourmet Marketplace taking place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai, on April 29 and 30 had all been handed out said the Home Affairs Department on Wednesday afternoon.
The Gourmet Marketplace was introduced under the "Happy Hong Kong" Campaign announced in the budget by Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po to drive consumption in the city.
However, the department said it had reserved a few free admission tickets for distribution outside the venue where the Marketplace takes place on Saturday and Sunday.
