Four patients transferred after oxygen pipe broken by renovation worker by accident
Four patients were immediately transferred to another ward after a renovation worker accidentally broke an oxygen pipe at Haven of Hope Hospital in Tseung Kwan O on Saturday.
The incident occurred at about 11am this morning and the hospital immediately arranged for the broken oxygen pipe to be fixed and deployed oxygen cylinders to ensure the four patients’ oxygen supply remained stable.
The patients’ health condition was not affected by the incident, according to the hospital.
The hospital added it will closely monitor the oxygen supply of other wards.
And the incident has been reported to the Hospital Authority in accordance with existing mechanisms.
