Four injured in a two-vehicle crash in Tai Po, one driver arrested
Police arrested a driver for causing a crash near Bride's Pool in Tai Po that injured four near midnight on Sunday.
A Toyota sedan was driving on the Bride's Pool Road towards Luk Keng when it attempted to cross the lane near Chung Mei and lost control, crashing into Honda Civic in the other lane.
The Toyota car caught fire, and the driver was able to escape on time. Two female passengers of the Honda Civic were once trapped.
The firefighters arrived to extinguish the fire and rescue the trapped passengers by prying open the door.
The paramedics took the conscious Civic driver and three passengers, aged between 20 and 39, separately to Princess Margaret Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital for medical attention.
The 40-year-old Toyota driver refused to be taken to the hospital and was arrested for reckless driving.
