Police are investigating links between four arson cases in Tsuen Wan that all occurred within an hour early Saturday morning, as both police and firefighters found the cause of the fire to be suspicious.
The first case was reported at around 3 am as police received a report that said a concrete truck on Castle Peak Road, Tsuen Wan - near Tai Ho Road - had caught fire. Fire accelerant was also found at the scene.
Two other fires, located on the backstreet by 16 Chuen Lung Street and 117 Chuen Lung Street, were reported to police at 3.08 am and 3.25 am, respectively.
The former saw air conditioners, dishes, and other debris charred; while the latter set ablaze construction materials.
At 4.04 am, a fourth fire was reported at an accessible toilet on Heung Che Street, causing burns to the walls and pipes.
Police and firefighters found the cause of the four fires suspicious and listed the cases as arson. No casualty was reported.
They are now handled by the Tsuen Wan district crime investigation team, and police are looking into the links between these cases.
