Five unionists see "seditious” sheep books case adjourned to mid-November
Five members of the Hong Kong Association of Speech Therapists who were charged with publishing “seditious” sheep books saw their case adjourned to November 12.
The five are chairwoman Lorie Lai Man-ling, vice-chairwoman Melody Yeung Yat-yee, secretary Sidney Ng Hau-yee, treasurer Samuel Chan Yuen-sum and committee member Marco Fong Tsz-ho.
They were charged with printing, publishing, distributing, displaying or reproducing seditious publications.
They appeared in West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts today. Magistrate Peter Law Tak Chuen adjourned the case to November 12 and transferred it to District Court. They didn't apply for bail and they will be remanded in custody until then.
The five were arrested on July 22 by national security police for publishing picture books that allegedly incite children to hate the government.
The three books are entitled Guardians of the Sheep Village, 12 Warriors of the Sheep Village and Scavengers of the Sheep Village.
