A 35-year-old firefighter who went to work after he was infected with Covid-19 was on Friday released on bail of HK$1,000 and saw his hearing adjourned to mid-December.
Kwok Wing-tung was charged with six counts of exposure of public infection for catching
Covid and still going to work at Castle Peak Bay Fire Station in Tuen Mun on March 1, 2, 6, 7, 10, and 13 this year, as the city reached the peak of the fifth wave of the pandemic.
Kwok appeared before deputy magistrate Yip Shing-lam at the Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts this morning and needed not yet enter a plea yet.
Judge Yip then adjourned the hearing to December 16, pending further police investigation. He also granted Kwok his bail application for HK$1,000.
