Financial Secretary to join financial summit as recovering
The financial chief Paul Chan Mo-po, who was diagnosed with coronavirus during his visit to the Middle East last week, said he would return to Hong Kong as soon as possible for the financial summit in November as his condition is recovering.
In a blog post today, Chan mentioned he visited representatives, including government officials, fund enterprises managers, and leading merchants in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain last week, noting the Greater Bay Area shows huge appeal to the Middle East.
Chan added many executives of international financial enterprises have shown anticipation for the upcoming Global Financial Leaders' Investment Summit, which is scheduled to be held in Hong Kong this Wednesday.
"I will return to Hong Kong for the summit in person or via video meeting at the earliest opportunity," said Chan, citing that his health conditions had improved.
